Tenant Information Packs - Your Guide
What is the Tenant Information Pack and why do I care?
Since 1st May 2013, a Tenant Information Pack has been required to be given to tenants on new assured and short assured tenancies under the section 30A of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988. This has just been revised on the 2nd February 2016 to include;
- Carbon Monoxide Detection
- Electrical Safety Checks
- Repairing Standard - written information about the landlord's duty to repair and maintain

Carbon Monoxide Detection
The information pack suggests that you should follow the guidence given in the "SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT STATUTORY GUIDANCE FOR THE PROVISION OF CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS IN PRIVATE RENTED HOUSING", which is a mouthful. This states that
